Reversal Gambit Bug
Annoying Bug
Reporter
This bug was reported by Rengor1997, and updates were provided by NamoV.
Details
If you have a unit that's equipped with a battalion with the Reversal gambit (swaps places with the target), and you use that gambit on a line of two enemies such that the second enemy is hit by the AOE:
- If the target enemy is not killed and your unit can swap places with them: your unit will swap with the target enemy, but the second enemy behind will not be damaged or rattled - this bug happens as of patch 1.1.0.
- If the target enemy is not killed and your unit cannot swap places with them (for example targeting a flier on water with an infantry unit): your unit will not swap places, and both enemies will be damaged and rattled as intended.
- If the target enemy is killed your unit will not swap places, and the second enemy will be damaged and rattled as intended.
- If your unit swaps with the enemy it will only rattle towards the north (according to the default default camera angle).
- If you don't swap (enemy unit dies, or they are on terrain that you cannot swap to) then the gambit works as intended.
- Changing the camera angle does not change the rattle direction.
Reproduction Steps
- Equip any unit with a battalion that has the Reversal gambit
- Make that unit gambit a pair of enemies such that both will be caught by the AOE and
- The target does not die to the gambit
- Your unit can swap places with the target
- The second enemy will not be damaged or rattled
